Edward the VIII never became king. He was the one who abdicated to marry an American. This mug was produced and sold in anticipation of the coronation that never happened. Instead George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II, became king instead. An interesting piece of history. It is made by Midwinter Burslem in England. Measures 10 x 7.5 cm.
